EURO X LED AT: The Universal Self-Contained Exit Sign Luminaire

Mar 14, 2013

Cooper CEAG, a leading provider of emergency lighting, has introduced the versatile EURO X LED exit sign luminaire to the market. The self-contained luminaire features universal mounting, lithium ion technology combined with LED and a high IP54 protection rating, making it a flexible low maintenance solution with a long service life.

The EURO X LED AT exit sign luminaire has been developed to meet a wide spectrum of requirements, with no negative effects on quality or functionality despite the diversity of product features.

Universal mounting methods
The EURO X LED AT concept allows for wall and ceiling mounting as well as installation in rooms with high protection rating requirements. These features, along with a viewing distance of 20 metres, make this adaptable luminaire ideal for a wide variety of applications. The set of pictograms in compliance with ISO7010 included in the scope of supply is another of its universal attributes. This offers a distinct advantage during purchase with users no longer having to limit themselves to the subsequent installation site to maintain complete flexibility. This significantly cuts effort for procurement and stock holding.

Minimised operating and maintenance costs
The 50,000 hour design life time of the LED light source ensures a higher level of operational safety and significantly cuts down on maintenance as regular lamp replacements are needless. Despite the uniform illumination of the pictograms, power consumption and operating costs are halved compared to luminaires with fluorescent lamps due to the high efficiency of the LEDs.

Operating modes and automatic test function
The EURO X LED AT can be operated in either a non-maintained or maintained mode, settable via its slide switch. Its emergency light operating duration is set to three hours complying with the nominal operating duration most commonly specified by the emergency lighting standards.

It also includes an automatic test function that significantly reduces the effort needed to perform legally required testing. Results for weekly function tests and bi-yearly battery capacity tests can be read directly on the luminaire via a two-colour LED. These features virtually eliminate the often cost and labour intensive manual testing of luminaires.
