Information on substances of very high concern ref. REACH (SVHC)
Dear Customer, We confirm that Cooper Crouse-Hinds GmbH has introduced a process in accordance with EU-Guideline 1907/2006/EG on Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH). According to REACH our products are defined as articles. If Substances in articles can potentially be released those substances have to be registered under certain circumstances. Since no substances shall be released from our products under normal usage conditions there is no obligation to register any of our products. For substances listed on the candidate list (SVHCs), that are contained in an article above the critical limit of 0.1% all actors within the supply chain are obliged to provide name of substance and information on safe procedures of handling to the end user. Currently we can rule out the presence of SVHC in our products according to the criteria listed above. Of course, as a downstream user we are in close contact with our suppliers in order to define measures that might be necessary and to warrant conformance with statutory provisions.
If there should be any changes due to new statutory provisions or changes to materials used in our process we will inform you promptly and will provide you with all required information. In case you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please understand that we reply using a standardized format. Due to the amount of correspondence in the context of REACH we cannot respond individually on questionnaires.
Kind regards, Cooper-Crouse-Hinds GmbH i.V. Christine Geier M.A. -EHS Manager Europe
